The holidays are upon us and if you are like everyone else – you are probably traveling to see your family.  Well – I can tell you for sure that whenever you are flying, there are a lot of costs involved and some airlines might have hidden costs that you do not know about until you actually get to the airport.

Whenever you are flying anywhere, you always want to make sure that you know all of the airline fees that might pop up.  For example, baggage, in-flight dining, unaccompanied minors, special seating and even pet traveling are all things that can cause fees.

It is important that you make sure that you do your research whenever you are traveling with a lot of luggage and certainly with pets – as those are two fees that many people do not think about!

To stay on the subject of holiday travel by flying, make sure that you leave yourself plenty of time.

Security is apt to take longer this time of year. A lot of inexperienced or even novice fliers may be coming to the airport this holiday season, and they may not be aware of TSA’s rather ludicrous rules concerning gels and liquids. Ahem. Anyway. It is better, when you can, to get on a nonstop flight. Connector flights can be the source of seriously hectic delays. Worse, you are stuck somewhere where you likely know no one.
