Go on a Romantic Getaway in Venice, Italy

venice_doge_1Sometimes, the only thing in the world you need is a romantic, relaxing vacation. And while you can unquestionably embark upon a romantic getaway that is close to where you live, sometimes it is necessary to travel a little further, to one of the true romantic capitals of the world.

Paris is one of those, naturally, but today we are not talking about Paris. We are talking about Venice, with its romantic evocations of Shakespearean mores and gondola rides at sunset.

St. Mark’s Square, St. Mark’s Church, the Doge’s Palace — the many historical sites in this watery city only heighten its romantic, ancient environment. And trust, a journey along the Bridge of Sighs will bring out the closet romantic in just about any person.
